About Mrs. O’Dell …

I am a high school English teacher  just outside of Richmond, Virginia. This blog started as an example for my advanced tenth grade students’ personal reading blogs but has expanded as a way to share my reading with students, family and friends alike!

Review Policy & Contact Information ….

I review any and all books that I read for the first time in the hopes that my friends and family — but mostly my students — will find books that they, too, are interested in reading!

I do not review books that I am reading for a second, third, or twentieth time.

While I teach 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students  and adore quality young adult literature, I do not review only YA lit. I review anything that people aged 14-80 might enjoy. Still, reading and review preference is given to books whose authors will entertain questions from my students.
